My point is that while it's neat and tidy to say "he's the head coach so


everything falls on him" the reality is usually more complex and that's definitely the case here. Whether people want to admit it or not he did some good things here and had some success. He ran a clean program. He apparently provided the administration a much needed wake up call regarding funding. He won more games than he lost (just not enough of them). He was ACC Coach of the Year. All of that is also part of his legacy. He's not some football movie villain coach. He was a guy whose greatest sin was that he didn't win enough. But today's loss was no more on him than the UVA win was. The sad thing is that certain people will still be blaming him next year. At some point you have to let it go and move on.
